After Murphy Brown, Candice Bergen remained one of television’s most respected actresses and later found renewed success starring in Boston Legal alongside William Shatner and James Spader. She also appeared in numerous films, wrote bestselling memoirs, and became widely admired for her sharp wit both on and off screen. Bergen later returned to the role of Murphy Brown for the 2018 revival, revisiting the character that helped define television in the 1990s.
