Where Are They Now

Richard Dean Anderson (Angus MacGyver)
After MacGyver ended, Richard Dean Anderson continued starring in television, most notably as Jack O'Neill on Stargate SG-1, a role that introduced him to an entirely new generation of fans. He later stepped back from full-time acting to spend more time with his daughter but has made occasional convention appearances and guest appearances. Anderson remains one of television's most beloved action stars.

Dana Elcar (Pete Thornton)
Following MacGyver, Dana Elcar continued acting despite developing glaucoma that significantly affected his vision. The show's producers incorporated his real-life eyesight loss into Pete Thornton's storyline, allowing him to continue working for several seasons. Elcar retired from acting in the 1990s and passed away in 2005 at the age of 77.

Bruce McGill (Jack Dalton)
Bruce McGill built one of Hollywood's most successful character-acting careers after MacGyver. He appeared in numerous films including The Insider, Lincoln, and Ride Along, while also becoming a familiar face on television in series such as Rizzoli & Isles. McGill continues to work steadily in both film and television.

Robin Mossley (Wilt Bozer)
Robin Mossley continued acting after MacGyver, appearing in a variety of television series, films, and stage productions in Canada. While he never achieved the same level of fame as some of his co-stars, he has enjoyed a long and respected career as a working actor and voice performer.

Michael Des Barres (Murdoc)
Michael Des Barres remained active in both acting and music after his unforgettable run as Murdoc. He appeared in numerous television shows and films while continuing to perform as a rock musician and radio host. Des Barres remains a popular guest at fan conventions and is still closely associated with one of television's greatest recurring villains.

Teri Hatcher (Penny Parker)
Teri Hatcher's appearances on MacGyver helped introduce audiences to an actress who would soon become a major television star. She went on to star in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman before achieving worldwide fame as Susan Mayer on Desperate Housewives, earning a Golden Globe Award. Hatcher continues acting and has also worked as an author and television host.

Elyssa Davalos (Nicole Fontaine)
Elyssa Davalos continued appearing in television and film throughout the late 1980s and 1990s before gradually stepping away from acting. She has maintained a relatively private life in recent years and is remembered fondly by MacGyver fans for her recurring role as Nicole.

John Anderson (Harry Jackson)
John Anderson remained active in television throughout the 1980s and early 1990s following his appearances on MacGyver. Already a veteran character actor with hundreds of screen credits, he retired from acting before passing away in 1992 at the age of 69.

Don S. Davis (Major General George Hammond)
Although he appeared in only a handful of MacGyver episodes, Don S. Davis later found his signature role as General Hammond on Stargate SG-1, reuniting with Richard Dean Anderson. He became a fan favorite in the science-fiction community before passing away in 2008 at the age of 65.
